Update.

I finished my junior year at UM-D. As of right now my gpa is 3.53 which is exciting. I’ve enjoyed my classes but am happy that some of them are over. I am taking 15 credits in the fall. Hopefully I won’t be too overwhelmed because I will be really busy planning and getting ready for the Alliance’s big event with Rick Guidotti & Positive Exposure. It is going to be so amazing. I have been trying to do as much as I can as far as planning goes so that when classes start I won’t be too stressed out. This involved me having a meeting with Vice Chancellor Henderson. Overall I think it went amazingly. He seemed really into the event so hopefully he will be able to help finance it. We also talked about the university having some other events in honor of the 20th anniversary of the ADA. I wrote up a proposal and everything. I plan on dropping it off tomorrow. I hope he likes it and actually uses some of the ideas. How awesome would that be?

I have been thinking a lot about my future… and as of right now I don’t see myself doing law school. I tossed around the idea of going for a little bit but when I think about some of my other options I am just not as excited. I still love the Disability & Humanity program at UIC, but there is a Rehabilitation Counseling degree at Wright State. That would be so cool to have that experience. We’ll see. Hopefully this summer we can go visit at least one of the schools to get a better feel of what it would be like.

This summer is going to be focused a lot on recovery though. Next Friday I am scheduled to have septoplasty/rhinoplasty on my nose. It turns out one side of my nose is completely blocked. Hopefully the surgery will make things much more comfortable when it comes to getting colds. Maybe I won’t get as many? I will be in the hospital for at least 1 night. I am hoping that everything goes well and I bounce back quickly.

In other news, nothing has happened regarding a trial in Baltimore. It’s a little upsetting, but oh well. Maybe I’m supposed to just focus on my nose and school for now. I still want to try and schedule an appointment with a neurologist at U of M to see if they would be interested in doing it instead of Dr. Francomano. We’ll see.

That’s pretty much it. I’m excited for the convention and getting to meet Reece and his mom, and Ciaran and his mom. Both of them have Multiple Pterygium Syndrome. I hope mom does okay with talking to Ciaran’s mom because he’s 10 this year… It will be great though. Can’t wait.
