Trying not to get over excited

One of the coolest things that will hopefully happen is getting into a medical trial for multiple pterygium syndrome!! After talking with Dr. Hall at the convention this past July and reading the email she sent yesterday I am so excited and encouraged about the possibility becoming a reality. It’s funny, because growing up i never wished i could be “normal” because i was just me. But, being older and wanting independence and knowing that it could help others I am all for it! It’s exciting to think about what science might allow me to do. Walk farther? Breathe better? Stand up straighter? I really don’t want to get overly excited and set up myself up for pain and disappointment. But I can’t help but wonder. The fact that Dr. Hall has already talked with someone in Baltimore who is “sold” on the idea is amazing in itself. While I would love to be able to stay and do a trial here in Michigan I would definitely be willing to go out there. I don’t want to waste 3-4 months trying to convince u of m (even though i love them dearly & forever grateful to have them so close) to do something when there is a doc already wanting to do it. We’ll see what happens with all of this. I can’t wait.
