*I’m including this link specifically because it was where I was able to order the extender on it’s own. In order to do this I needed to copy and paste the part number in the Online Quote Request form available at the top of their website

One of the biggest issues I have experienced over the years is my wheelchair’s seatbelt falling to the side and onto the floor. I am very good about wearing it while in a vehicle but if I’m at home or shopping it’s usually unbuckled. My movement is too restricted. When it would fall to the side I would have trouble reaching down to get it and I also risked getting the belt caught in my wheels. So, when I saw information about the Evoflex belt I was really intrigued.
The Evoflex Padded Pelvic Wheelchair Stabilizer Belt by Bodypoint essentially holds the seatbelt at your desired angle once it’s installed. It’s then possible to adjust it a little bit more which allows you to position the seatbelt out of the way or fine tune the angle as needed. I waited a long time before deciding to actually order the seatbelt because I was nervous about determining what size to get, how easy it would be to install and whether or not I really needed it or not. I even tried to get an appointment with my durable medical equipment provider so they could be the ones to do the measuring and installing but that never worked out. I finally said forget this and decided to order it on my own.
My dad was able to install it pretty easily. The instructions were clear and the mounting hardware for the Quantum Stretto’s track system came standard. There are other mounting style kits that can be purchased too. The only issue we ran into is that I ordered the medium size and it’s a bit tight. Bodypoint does sell an extender so I decided to order that just in case I needed it in the future.
Bottom line
This is absolutely one of my top favorite purchases for my wheelchair. I highly recommend it and wish that this style of seatbelt came standard (or was at least mentioned as an option during the ordering process).
