Well, it finally happened: COVID-19 hit our household. It started off with my sister, then my mom, then me, and then my dad. My parents and I took antiviral medication while my sister had to just ride it out. My parents took the new antiviral Paxlovid while I took an “older” one called Molnupiravir. This was my only option because of my small weight. But it seemed to do the trick: I slept a lot and had some extra muscle pain but overall it wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be. But I was also taking a lot of Mucinex which likely helped with congestion and secretion management. In terms of lingering symptoms, I’m sinusy but there have also been a lot of weather changes this week. My sister and mom are coughing some still. We actually think my mom has this thing called “Paxlovid rebound” because she felt better but is feeling worse again. Blahh. My dad seems to be doing okay.
Some of you might know that my grandma had been staying with us for awhile but thankfully(?) she is not here at the moment. She had a small stroke a few months ago and has since been in various rehab facilities working on her recovery. Her recovery is complicated a bit by the fact that she has dementia. She’s due to come back here next week though…
On top of all this my bedroom is currently a mess: we are repainting it! We had decided to tackle this project while my grandma was out of the house and then COVID came. But since we started the project we’re trying to get as much done this weekend as we can. The color is called “Hush” and will hopefully be nice and calming. I’ve loved the clouds on my walls that I’ve had since middle school but it’s time for a change. I’ll post photos once it’s done!
Let’s see… what else. I’ve had the chance to play Power Soccer again which is fun! That’s basically it for now. I’ll work on posting updates more regularly!
